I began my training schedule

for my next half marathon today!

Dear hubs suggested we drive to the nearby

American River bike trail.

This afforded us a change of scenery

and a chance to see a bunch of wildlife

and witness how high the river is

after the last rain storm!

As I snapped this shot of the sunrise (with the iPhone)

a doe ran into the shot...
